Premium.

To open front grille.
Pull the bottom part of the grille to open, push to close.
ENSURE WINDSCREEN WIPERS ARE OFF, TO AVOID DAMAGE , AND OR INJURY.
Coolant level.
The coolant reservoir is located under the front grille.
To the top left.
The coolant level should be flush with the filler port,(the bottom of the 2 caps).
If the engine is hot release the pressure by turning the top cap 1/4 of a turn,
only when the pressure is released may the filler cap be removed,
ensure all caps are rescrewed after checks are done.
Oil level .
To check oil via the in cab display.
The vehicle should be on level ground, and the engine should have been shut down for a reasonable
amount of time, (30 - 40 minutes).
When the ignition is switched on and for around 30 seconds;
The display will show, one of the following;
Oil can with OK = oil level correct.
Oil can with ! = fill up with the amount of oil that it tells you.
Oil can with ! with MAX EXCEDED = contact your fitter / Renault trucks.
Oil can with a X through = oil level gauge defective check with dipstick.
To fill with oil open front grille , filler is bottom right.
To check with dipstick , tilt cab.Filler and dipstick are together.
Windscreen wash.
Windscreen wash, headlight wash reservoirs are just above the step to the cab,either side of the vehicle.

Premium 260-300-340-385-400-420 oil is checked on start up on the oil pressure guage;

switch ignition on and wait till needle stabilizes. 1=danger top up at once 2=mid point 3=max.

 



Pre 2005

A= dipstick.
B= oil filler.
C= coolant.

Midlum.

To check oil level , vehicle should be on level ground. Wait for 5 minutes after the vehicle has stopped
before carrying out the check.
Depending on your vehicle's equipment, this is done on the ignition.
Switch the ignition ON (do not start engine ), and wait till the needle on the oil pressure/level gauge stabilizes .
1= danger top up at once
2= mid point top up as soon as you can.
3=max level all OK.

To check via the dipstick.
Open front grille.
Pull the bottom part of the radiator grille to open,(  push to close on completion ).
The dipstick is to the left hand side of the radiator , the oil filler cap is to the bottom right.

To check coolant. Open the front grille.
The reservoir is located at the top left hand side.

The windscreen / headlamp  wash reservoir is found by opening the front grille.
It is located at the bottom left just above the headlight.

Magnum 390 430 470 560.
The 2 front inspection  panels located either side of the middle front panel can be opened
by loosening the captive screw and pulling open, push in cover and tighten screw to close.
This gives access to the  expasion tank,hydraulic circuit tank for the clutch,cable for air  tank drain valves,
inflation valve-instructions for use are shown behind the cover.
There are a further 2  inspection covers both located behind the cab just in front of the deisel tanks ,
1 on either side of the vehicle.
The right hand side gives access to the "dipstick", oil filler  and
the windscreen wash reservoir which  is located just behind the air filter.
The oil can be checked by means of the oil pressure guage .
Turn ignition on  wait till the needle stablizes.
1= Top up NOW  2= Mid point  3=MAX
